S.R.A. - STRATEGIES
  1. To generate and transfer technologies to improve and sustain farm and mill productivity.
    1. Apply biotechnology in:
      • Value addition to sugarcane components
      • Variety improvement and rapid propagation
      • Environment protection
    2. Establish additional HYV nurseries to accelerate distribution of planting materials
    3. Customize technologies to needs of farms and mills
    4. Prioritize action researches
  2. To enhance technical services to SRA clients
    1. Intensify technology demonstration in coordination with MDDCs/mills.
    2. Upgrade facilities/equipment of SRA.
    3. Create an applied communications unit to facilitate packaging of technologies and effective dissemination of information.
  3. To strictly enforce SRA rules and regulations on productions, allocation and effective merchandising of sugar.

    4. Review update sugar policies.
  4. To provide support functions and systems to ensure efficient and effective service delivery of in-house line units.
    1. Provide a work environment that attracts, develops and retained highly skilled and competent employees.
    2. Streamline existing systems and procedures.
    3. Improve use of information and communication technology and management information system.
    4. Innovate and promulgate best practices.
  5. To improve management of SRA’s non-human resource.
    1. Optimize use of assets.
    2. Implement cost reduction measures.
  6. Increase SRA’s income.
    1. Rationalize user fees/charges.
    2. Strength collection and remittance system.
    3. Sell/dispose idle and unserviceable assets.
  7. Develop competitive and profitable business units.
    1. Identify analyze business opportunities.
    2. Develop and execute business planning and marketing skills.
  8. Develop strategic alliances with other government agencies and private sector.
    1. Ensure that services and information are readily available and accessible to other government agencies and private sector.
